The words car “accident” barely pass as a description of what car crashes often are. Negligence, intoxication, and carelessness don’t amount to an “accident.” So often in life, our terminology shifts blame and minimizes the true nature of how terrible tragedies really occur. It doesn’t adequately convey the anguish and destruction it leaves behind.

How It All Happened

The 18th anniversary of my grandparents’ death just passed, and I’m as angry as the day it happened. I know anger isn’t the best way to handle a loss in your life, but sometimes it’s hard to get past it. Coping with grief and loss is a challenging process.

Moving on and healing isn’t always as easy as all of my friends who haven’t had their lives touched by loss would suggest.
